Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Part of our team, you will be the first voice our clients hear as you will be answering the phone and either assisting or directing their call to another team member. You will provide customer service to our group clients as it pertains to enrollments, claims & billing. Clerical duties will include filing, making group files, and updating our database.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process enrollment/change forms for groups. Confirm all information on form is legible and accurate. Forward to appropriate TPA or Carrier for processing. Follow up in TPA or Carrier online system to confirm change(s) have been processed accordingly. Once confirmed, form is ready to be filed in their group file.
- Assist clients with billing concerns. Communicate with internal and external clients verbally and in writing complicated reconciliation issues in a timely and concise manner to ensure client understanding.
- Contact groups on late pay list which we receive every month. Follow up with TPA/Carrier system to be sure payment has been received.
- Assist clients with claim issues. Obtain authorization form signed by client to inquire about claims payment on their behalf. Contact carrier and be able to provide client with explanation.
- Assist clients with benefit & eligibility questions.
- Follow up in TPA or Carrier system renewals have been processed correctly. Once confirmed, group file goes back in file cabinet.
- Communicate any escalated claims or benefit questions with appropriate Broker.
Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- College Degree preferred
- 5+ years related experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
- Good written and verbal skills
- Ability to prioritize, work independently and give attention to detail
- May include other duties as assigned
