Job Description
Estimator – Key Bridge Rebuild Project
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team and support the preparation and negotiation of a Lump Sum estimate for the Key Bridge Rebuild Project. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in heavy civil infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and interpret Contract Documents (RFPs, specifications, etc.).
- Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for design-build infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with estimators and engineers/designers to provide constructability input and value engineering.
- Participate in Task Force Meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project working sessions.
- Identify, quantify, and communicate project risks throughout the estimating process.
- Conduct site visits and investigations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in construction/engineering, specifically in heavy civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, costs, and techniques.
- Experience interpreting project schedules, cost control, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of construction safety standards and compliance with OSHA and federal requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- CADD and 3D Modeling software experience preferred.
- Strong mathematical and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
